Pavilion Unheard Music is a small-scale workshop / stage / studio for music 'that is fresh', is created on the spot, has been in a drawer for decades and music by the new Dutch that is rarely performed on stages. In short, literally unheard of music. Composed, improvised music - performed acoustically, semi-acoustically, electronically - gets a chance to be heard. POM is a research, development and discovery place for music. The stage as a laboratory.
POM hopes to contribute to a climate of making, showing, stimulating, supporting and informing (young) musicians, composers and makers. And that for a small but very interested and committed audience. Audience as a sounding board for the - young - musician, composer, maker. Public as a development factor and ambassador.
Residencies take place within POM, alumni of the Tilburg Conservatory are coached on their first steps in the professional field and young talented musicians, composers and makers are coached. These youngsters get in touch with an international network that comes in through concerts and exchanges with cities such as Cologne, Ghent and Belgrade.
